A Celebration of Love, Culture, and Legacy
Nigerian singer Mr Eazi and actress fashion influencer Temi Otedola, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, recently tied the knot in a stunning, three part wedding that spanned Monaco, Dubai, and Iceland. The couple’s union was not just a celebration of love, but also a powerful tribute to family, heritage, and shared values.
Temi and Mr Eazi began dating in 2017 after meeting at an event where Temi’s sister, DJ Cuppy, introduced them. Their connection grew quickly, and in 2022, Mr Eazi proposed in Venice during the shooting of his music video Legalize a moment that was both romantic and symbolic.
After a long engagement, the couple opted for a three-part wedding, each ceremony reflecting a different part of their lives and cultures.
The first wedding took place on May 9, 2025, in Monaco. The date was chosen to honor Mr Eazi’s late mother, Ifeoma Ajibade, whose birthday falls on the same day. The civil ceremony was private, with only close friends and family in attendance.
Temi wore a chic white Wiederhoeft ensemble a corseted suit that reflected her minimalist style while Mr Eazi wore Louis Vuitton. The event was followed by a quiet celebration at Villa La Vigie, once owned by Karl Lagerfeld.
On July 5, 2025, the couple held a traditional Yoruba ceremony at the Otedola family home in Dubai. This celebration was rich in culture, color, and music, paying tribute to their Nigerian heritage.
Temi wore several stunning outfits from designers like Zac Posen, Miss Sohee, Oscar de la Renta, and Lisa Folawiyo Studio. One particularly meaningful outfit used Akwa Ocha, a traditional Igbo fabric, in honor of Mr Eazi’s mother’s roots.
Mr Eazi matched his bride in custom agbadas and traditional attire, styled with modern luxury. The atmosphere was festive and emotional, with performances by Nigerian music legend King Sunny Adé.
The final ceremony took place on August 8, 2025, at the iconic Hallgrímskirkja Church in Reykjavík, Iceland. Known for its breathtaking landscapes, Iceland provided a magical setting for the church wedding.
Temi stunned in a classic Fendi Haute Couture gown inspired by Audrey Hepburn, while Mr Eazi wore Saint Laurent. The reception took place in a glass tent set against the Icelandic landscape, with a surprise performance by John Legend under the northern lights.
Beyond the glamour, what made this wedding special was the deep emotional and cultural meaning behind it:
Dates chosen for significance (May 9 to honor Eazi’s mother)
Outfits that blended tradition and modern couture
Ceremonies that reflected both Yoruba and Igbo cultures
Venues that represent their lifestyle and love story
Temi has since updated her name to Temi Ajibade, and the couple continues to inspire fans across the world with their love, artistry, and elegance.
